Vintage/Antique Blue and White English Transferware Plates – Copeland Spode “Italian Scenery” Pattern  23cm Diameter (Damaged) – South Wales Pottery “Colandine” Pattern 30x24cms

For collectors of blue and white ceramics, here are two beautiful examples. One is in the ever popular “Italian Scenery“ pattern by Spode and the other is in the “Colandine“ pattern which appears to be made by either South Wales Pottery around 1850 (https://www.blueandwhite.co.uk/museum.aspx?m=South+Wales+Pottery&p=Colandine).

❗️The Spode plate is unfortunately repaired – rather poorly – after it was broken two pieces, however, the break is clean and I’m sure a more professional repair would result in a barely visible crack. I include it with the other plate at a small additional cost.

The “Colandine“ plate is an absolute stunner! The pattern - with Chinese influence similar to a willow plate - is so pretty and the floral border of the plate just crowns it off. It appears to be in perfect condition except for the glaze crazing commonly found in antique plates. ❗️The only other condition is issue to report is a small hairline crack pointed out with a red arrow on the left-hand side in the third photograph, which is slightly visible in the same position on the front on the right hand side. This does not detract from the beauty of the plate
