No bending of the spine as the books have never been read. I was gifted a different set by a dear friend, so it seems redundant to have two sets. 

Still bought this set at Scrooge in Monte Casino. 

Last two pictures show slight damage to the box slip cover. 

These books are from a smoke free home.
