AMD Radeon R9 285 2GB GDDR5 GPU 

Selling my AMD Radeon R9 285 2GB GDDR5 graphics card after upgrading to an RTX 3060.

This is an older but still capable entry-level GPU, suitable for basic 1080p gaming, older games, esports titles, media output, extra display use, and light GPU tasks. It is not a modern high-end card, so I would not recommend it for newer AAA games at high settings, but it can still be useful for budget builds, older gaming PCs, testing systems, or general display output.

The card is in very good cosmetic condition overall, with very little visible damage or scuffing. There is some minor dust in the harder-to-reach areas of the blower fan, but nothing major.

Recently tested for display output through DisplayPort and detected correctly in GPU-Z as an AMD Radeon R9 200 Series / Tonga GPU with 2GB GDDR5 memory. HDMI and DVI were used previously and worked when last used. The card was last used regularly in November 2025 and worked well.

Important note: the default fan curve appears to stay around 30% regardless of temperature. The fan can be controlled manually using MSI Afterburner when configured properly. From previous use, the card reached around 80°C under full load with the default fan behavior and could thermal throttle. With a custom fan curve in MSI Afterburner, it ran around 70°C under full load without thermal throttling, but it is louder.

Requires 2× 6-pin PCIe power connectors.

Includes the GPU only. No original box, but it will be safely packed in an RTX 3060 box with an anti-static bag for protection.
