If you’re looking for a responsive, capable cam in a strong and well finished all-aluminium body that’s easy to get along with I would highly recommend the Nikon Coolpix S570. The S570 is designed to be easy to use, and the controls and menus are simple to navigate. It has only four shooting modes; Full Auto; Scene mode with 16 scene programs and Auto Scene Selection; Smart Portrait mode with enhanced skin tones, Blink warning and smile timer, and Video recording mode. 

Released in 2009 the S570 is a small petite digi-cam that measures only 9.2 cm x 5.6 cm x 2.1 cm wide, and its quite light too at only at 137g. It has a 12 Megapixel sensor with 5 x Optical Zoom and 4 x Digital Zoom with Electronic VR (digital image stabilisation) and a 6.8 cm LCD Screen. It records Video at 640 x 480p resolution at 30 fps and has a Macro focusing distance of 3 cm with a battery that’s rated at 220 shots on a full charge.
