Released in 2008, the Canon PowerShot A2000 IS was the new top-of-the-range model in the popular PowerShot range at the time. It has very few external controls (just 11 in total) which reflects the fact that this is quite a simple camera in terms of functionality. However, you will be pleasantly surprised at its relatively fast startup speed, typically taking between 1.3 and 2.1 seconds to go from powering on to being ready to take your first pic. Mention must also be made of its good colour accuracy and contrast as well as clean, sharp images and macro capabilities, focusing as close as 1 cm!
