Flaws: 
The two dark spots on your iPhone XS Max are most likely caused by the OLED display or the camera lens defaultn however the default camera software for the iPhone Xs Max is the built-in Camera app within the iOS operating system. To return the camera settings to their original factory state, you need to reset all settings on the iPhone, as there is no dedicated "reset camera settings" button. 

To fix an iPhone XS Max camera software Check for iOS updates, ensure no apps have restricted camera access in Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera, or reset all settings under Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset. Alernatively a full factory reset may be necessary
