These shoes are what sneakerheads call ‘new old stock’. They were purchased at Sportscene in 2010 but have been in their box since then and have never been worn. The Superstar II model is very similar to the standard Superstar with a few subtle differences, the main one being that the tongue is padded rather than flat. This makes for a very comfortable fit. The leather is in immaculate condition, however, some of the synthetic materials have degraded slightly due to the age of the shoes, as seen in the photos. Note the mottled effect on the black trim (it disappears when wiped with a damp cloth); the plastic lining on the tongues has some hairline cracks and is likely to start peeling once the shoes are in regular use; and the toe cap and sole of the left shoe are slightly less white than the those of the right shoe. While none of these imperfections is highly noticeable, they are the reason that these awesome shoes are priced so low.
