This lovely, unusual, fine quality silver-plated ‘Arts & Crafts’ tea caddy from the early 1900’s has an oval form, and is decorated with four dark blue, round cabochon-cut, semi-precious (possibly Lapis Lazuli) stones, around the sides with one on the lid. It is within the Art Decor Style. The tea caddy appears to be plated on brass giving it a good weight and other than very minor wear to the base, due to age, it’s in great condition with an airtight lid. It stands 8,8cm high, measures 12,5cm x 10cm and weighs 342g.

Historically, items like this were used for storing various items, such as tea, jewelry, or snuff.
