Description
Material: The mark "EPNS" stands for Electro-Plated Nickel Silver. This means the item has a base metal alloy (typically a mix of copper, nickel, and zinc) that is coated with a thin layer of pure silver, not solid sterling silver. 
Maker: It was produced by a company that used the brand name "Excalibur".
Design: The cooler is cylindrical with a flared, stepped base and features two ornate side handles. The rim has a decorative, patterned edge. Its primary function is to chill wine or champagne bottles with ice and water.
Condition: The item shows a dark, aged surface known as patina, and the bottom is loose and requires repair. There may be areas where the base metal is beginning to show through the silver coating due to age and wear.
