Description: Vintage TG Green Gripstand Mixing Bowl 9 1/4". Also known as Church Gresley Yellow-Ware.

The Green's Gripstand Mixing Bowl with the patent number 491517 was granted in 1939. 

Do you also remember growing up watching a mother or a grandmother making delicious baked goods while using the trusty Gripstand bowl? The yellow mixing bowl has been a staple in kitchens for well over a hundred years. T.G. Green's Gripstand bowl was a unique addition to an old standard. The handles and Gripstand wedge allow the bowl to be tipped on its side for easier mixing and whisking, without slipping. Bowls were produced in several sizes including 9", 10", 11", 12" and 13". T.G. Green & Co. Ltd. originally operated from the village of Church Gresley, South Derbyshire, England. Production has been discontinued 1974.  

A little bit of history, this bowl is one of two that came in a set, whereby the original price of R2.25 is still on the bowl, clearly indicating it had never been used!! Also, these bowls came with a little note of a previous seller where the bowls were priced R15.65 and R18.75. Making these bowls an absolute Rare Find and True Vintage Treasure!!!
