You are simply not South African if you do not know and love a koeksister! True as BOB, I did not know you get a Koeksister Cutter, but here we are 😊. Man I was so impressed when I had a look and see it comes with a lekker recipe card too!!

Description: Vintage Cut-Easy Koeksister Cutter from Transvaal Agencies. Looks like it has never been used. A tool for cutting koeksister dough. While the exact manufacturing year isn't stated on the item, the tool's design, the use of the "Transvaal Agentskappe" company name and the phone number format suggest it's likely from the mid-20th century in South Africa. Koeksisters themselves have Dutch origins, with recipes arriving in South Africa in 1652. The name "Koeksister" became popular in the 18th century. 

The thickness of the dough affects the final texture of the koeksister, with thicker dough resulting in softer koeksisters and thinner dough in crispier ones. Hoe water my mond darm nou!!
