Midcentuary white and blue floral royal delftware pitcher, handpainted and with authenticity stamp, also known as Delft pottery or Delft Blue. Height: 25 cm.

The blue and white floral patterns of Delftware are a classic, timeless style that can fit well within both cottage core and shabby chic aesthetics. These styles often incorporate vintage, rustic, and romantic elements, which are characteristic of Delft pottery.

No cracks, a tiny chip at foot, and a tinier one only visible from bottom, as shown in photo, It does not however distract from the overall beauty of pitcher and is in good vintage condition and priced accordingly.

Delftware is a type of tin-glazed earthenware, a form of faience, that originated in the city of Delft in the Netherlands. 
It is characterized by its distinctive blue and white decoration, which was originally inspired by Chinese porcelain. 
The pottery is made from earthenware clay, which is covered with a white tin glaze and then decorated with cobalt blue oxide before being fired. 
The Royal Delftware Manufactory, established in 1653, is the last remaining Delftware factory from the 17th century.
