THE BUM BAG

Inspired by 18th-century false rumps or bum rolls (think the 1700s equivalent of a BBL), this handbag combines the booty-adding function while offering ample storage for life's essentials.

This is made from 100% cotton shweshwe that's been stuffed to the brim with scrap and waste fabrics which have been quilted. This is a part of my attempts to tackle my enormous pile of fabric waste so that it doesn't even up in a landfill. The bag is lined with acetate lining and closes with a snap button. The handle can be tied to your liking.
