My latest collection, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: The Dark Baptism, dropped on Yaga this week, and one of my favourite parts of putting it together had very little to do with the clothes themselves.

I spent a few days on a quaint little farm in Tulbagh and found myself collecting inspiration everywhere.

Tiny wildflowers growing between rocks. Moss-covered stone walls. Feathers caught in the grass. Weathered bark. Golden afternoon light filtering through the trees.

As the collection started taking shape, so did the world around it.

The nest featured in the antique pearl earring imagery was built using a nest from Babylonstoren, layered with wildflowers and natural elements inspired by what I found on the farm. What began as a simple prop quickly became one of my favourite details from the entire collection.

Then there was the tiny crab skull.

It wasn't part of the original plan, but somehow it found its way into scene after scene, becoming an unexpected focal point amongst spell pages, crystals, books and woodland floors. A small detail that quietly helped weave the story together.

One of the things I love most about creating these collections is that they're never just about the items. They're about building a mood, a feeling, a little world that invites you in.

The Dark Baptism is filled with romantic dresses, heirloom-inspired jewellery, woodland treasures and a touch of modern witchcraft, but the real magic was found in the details gathered along the way.
