Sábado (Saturday) invites you into a quiet room where the day's last warmth lingers beyond a leaded window. A solitary lamp, the suggestion of a comfortable seat, and the glowing skyline beyond create an atmosphere that feels both peaceful and quietly reflective. It's the kind of artwork that reveals a little more every time you pause in front of it.

Created by acclaimed Spanish graphic artist, engraver and typographer Alfonso Ayuso (born 1928, Madrid), this original limited edition intaglio print was published in Paris by Antares Éditions d'Art in 1981. Titled Sábado, it appears in Ayuso's catalogue raisonné and is hand signed and numbered 20/50 in pencil. Produced using traditional intaglio techniques, likely combining engraving and aquatint, the print retains its original plate impression, a hallmark of authentic fine art printmaking that collectors appreciate.

The print measures approximately 15.4 cm × 20.4 cm and is presented in an ornate white decorative frame measuring 20.4 cm × 26 cm. I paired this frame with the artwork because they complement one another beautifully, giving the piece a timeless, gallery-like presence. It is currently displayed without glass, and while it presents wonderfully as is, the new owner may wish to add glazing for long-term protection if preferred. Both the print and frame are in excellent vintage condition with only the lightest signs of age.
