they were miniature collectible figurines featuring babies in various poses. 

each figure originally wore a white diaper that would change color (to pink or blue) when dipped in cold water to reveal the baby's gender. 

the collection included various themes, such as the standard babies, merbabies (as seen with the mermaid tails in the image), pets, and angels. 

the figures are made of pvc and typically stand around 2.5 inches (6.35 cm) tall. 

they are sold as vintage collector's items today, with prices varying based on condition and series.
