Heuer Monte Carlo Dashboard Rally Timer Stopwatch (Not Running) | Vintage | Motorsports 

This is a gorgeous 3 pusher late 1960's dashboard mounted lap timer made by Heuer. 


It features tridium lume hands and numbers that have aged beautifully for a "tropical" effect. 

These time keeping devices would have been cutting edge precision technology at the time and an invaluable tool for any serious racer - infact these and their dashboard clock siblings were used in military aviation aircraft too. 

It is currently not running. I have had it inspected by a reputable Watchmaker and his assessment is that it just needs a service and re-lubrication as there is no sign of damage to any part of the mechanism.

Cosmetically it's far from perfect but has an awesome tropical dial and patina that lend it a huge degree of character. It is missing its original mounting backplate.

Situated in Pretoria fairly close to Waverley Plaza or alternatively I am happy to send items via Pudo/TCG or Postnet.
