Oh boy, isn't this just gorgeous!? Here we have a vintage sterling silver opal bracelet, made and hallmarked by Franz Scheuerle. This stunning bracelet is set with four Ethiopian oval opals that have the most magical, fiery iridescent play of colours. The opals are arranged in alternation with strong curb chain links. The length of the bracelet is 20cm. 

Franz Scheuerle ("FS" maker's mark), was a renowned German silversmith known for Mid-Century Modern designs. The Franz Scheurle company, established in Schwäbisch Gmünd was founded in 1903. Scheurle mainly manufactured small silverware in the 1920s and then from the 1960s, gold and silver jewellery was produced. Franz Scheurle passed away in 1929 and the business was passed down to his son, Gerhard Scheurle. In 1972 Gerhard Scheurle passed the business to his son and son-in-law, Franz F. Scheurle and Christoph Boden. They then re-branded the firm's name to Quinn.
