Its name comes from the Latin ‘granatum‘ meaning pomegranate, because the crystal represents the seeds of this delicious fruit.

This particular 9 ct gold garnet ring is not an antique, but has the look and feel of a Victorian ring. It's delicate and makes quite an impression. It fits a ring finger of about 58 mm, which is size Q in circumference. However, a good jeweller would be able to enlarge or make the ring smaller. The ring is as good as new.
