A-Grade Beef Tallow

Culinary use: Frying, Roasting, Sautéing and Savory Baking

Flavour: Cooking Tallow may add a pleasant savory taste to food and baked goods.

How to use: Cooking Tallow can be used to sear a steak, make stews, fries, or potatoes. Stir-fry vegetables, fry rice, or simply spread it on bread with a bit of salt.

Cooking Tallow is a solid at room temperature and a clear 'oil' when melted. This unique structure makes it the perfect substitute for chilled butter in recipes. In addition, you can baste your meat with Cooking Tallow. It will help the seasoning stick to your meat and lock in the flavour when having a braai.

Stash it right: Keep it cozy at room temperature so it stays spreadable. Avoid storing it near heat or in direct sunlight. Store in a sealed container when not in use. 

Due to the nature of tallow, you may notice texture variations as the temperatures change. If your Cooking Tallow melts during the summertime, simply refrigerate it to solidify again. 

Shelf life: For optimal quality, use within 6 months of opening. To extend the shelf-life, refrigerate or freeze for up to 12 months.
