8 seater Vintage 1950-60 Madeira handworked appliqué and embroidered tablecloth with signature brown satin stitch floral cutwork on Irish linen ground.
235cm x 170cm ( so big I had to lay it out in the carpet and climb a ladder to photograph it! ☺️)
Signature pastel colours prove authenticity as only Madeira used pastel green, pink, yellow and blue.
2 professional darning repairs measuring 20mm each and near edges. Linen still heavy and full of body. This cloth was very badly stained with yellow acid marks typical with age and rust marks. It has taken me 3 weeks to restore using no bleach or chlorine and the result is absolutely exquisite white crisp linen. A real treasure.
