Vintage set of Henselite Junior Biased Carpet Bowls. This is a miniature version of the full-sized lawn bowls game, designed for indoor play on a carpet.   The set typically includes eight biased bowls (in two contrasting colours, such as the black and brown ones pictured) and one smaller white ball called a jack.  It allows the game of bowls to be played indoors, serving as a "full sized game in miniature".   The term "biased" means the bowls are designed to curve as they roll, due to a slight offset in their mass.   The set was manufactured in Australia by R. W. Hensell & Sons Pty Ltd, a company known for producing high-precision lawn bowls.  These sets were first produced in the early 1950s.   This set is complete with the Rules of the Game leaflet included.  The box has age related signs of use.
