There's a reason Decathlon's Forclaz line has a following — they make technical outdoor gear that doesn't ask you to spend like a sponsored athlete. The TREKK100 is that jacket: a hooded synthetic puffer designed in the Mont-Blanc Valley, built for the trail, and sharp enough to wear everywhere else.
The shell is a muted army olive in 100% polyamide — lightweight, tough, and water-resistant. Against it, the zip pulls run in a contrasting chartreuse — yellow-green hardware on every pocket and the main placket. It's a considered detail that lifts the whole jacket out of plain-Jane territory. Quilted in a clean square-grid pattern across the body and hood, with a grey polyester lining inside that's grey by design: Forclaz uses a dope-dyed yarn blend that cuts manufacturing CO2 emissions by 40% compared to standard dyeing. The warmth is in there for a reason; the conscience is too.

A note on sizing: The label reads EU/US L with a stated chest of 96–103cm — but this jacket cuts genuinely slim. In hand it wears closer to a small-medium. Decathlon's Forclaz insulated range is well-documented for running small, and several reviewers recommend sizing up when buying new. What that means for you here: if you're a true S or a slim M, this will fit as intended. If you're a standard M or larger, it won't. Measure your chest and compare — don't go by the label alone.
