1960’s pure wool jersey knit draped bodice and back, wiggle dress by Luisa Spagnoli, a label begun in the 20’s and still in existence today. This dress does something amazing to the body when worn. It is the blackest jet colour which reflects absolutely no light but rather absorbs it in the most seductive way. The bodice is lined and the neckline is very wide and meant to hug the edge of the shoulders. There are bra stays to keep it from falling off the shoulders. This piece was not in the best shape when acquired. It had undergone multiple alterations so it was needing a lot of forensic work to regain the correct shape and proportion. I think I achieved this eventually!  Everything is original including the side metal zip. The only non original piece is the front bodice lining which had been cut away but I have replaced with a satin lining piece. It is a large size but would work on a medium body if belted. It does not come with a belt.
