This large antique bronze currency bracelet originates from the Bamum (Bamoun) people of Cameroon, West Africa. Traditionally cast by hand using the ancient lost wax method, these heavy bronze forms were once used both as currency and as symbols of wealth and social prestige.

Each piece was individually crafted, resulting in unique surface patterns and ornate detailing — the raised spiral and scaled motifs seen here are typical of Bamum metalwork.
